The flagmakers of yesteryear were a rare breed of perfectionists. They treated every job as a work of art. Every stitch and every piece of fabric was painstakingly examined and re-examined for quality.

Since 1877, we at Evan Evans Flags and Banners have been synonymous with the art of designing and making flags. Since inception, our company has striven to combine time-honoured traditions of craftsmanship with the latest cutting-edge technology. Our aim is to provide our customers with the very highest quality flags and banners.

In 1901, we won the honour of co-designing the Australian flag.

We were a major supplier for the Australian armed forces in the 1930s and ‘40s, manufacturing more than 42,000 separate items.

In the 1950s, ‘60s and ‘70s, we built upon previous success, becoming Australia’s pre-eminent flag manufacturer — supplying flags and banners for many landmark occasions, including the Melbourne Olympic Games and two Commonwealth Games.

In the 1980s and ‘90s, we continued our proud tradition of supplying flags and banners for momentous occasions, including the 1983 America’s Cup, the 1986 Papal visit, the 1988 World Expo — as well as a decade of Grand Prix, AFL, Olympic and Commonwealth Games events.

More than a century later, we continue to earn international recognition and praise, most recently as the major supplier of super banners for the Sydney Olympic and Para-Olympic Games, and the Centenary of Federation Celebrations.

We offer a comprehensive service, from hand-sewn flags, through to screen-printed and digitally printed banners, banner stands, bunting and flags of any size, quantity, or number of colours. Our digital printing service is exceptionally fast. Investments in the latest technology and production systems mean we can achieve a 48-hour turnaround on full-colour digitally printed flags and banners.
