1. Cleaning:
   • Gentle Cleaning: Use a mild detergent to clean the flag, avoiding bleach or harsh chemicals that may damage the fabric or colours.
   • Machine Washing: If machine washing is necessary, place the flag inside a mesh laundry bag and use a gentle cycle with cold water to minimise wear and tear.
   • Drying: Air dry the flag by laying it flat or hanging it. Avoid tumble drying, as the heat can cause shrinkage or fabric damage.
2. Storage:
   • Proper Storage: Ensure the flag is completely dry before storing it to prevent mould and mildew. Store it in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight to maintain its vibrant colours.
3. Folding the Maldives Flag:
   • Prepare the Flag: Lay the flag flat on a clean, dry surface, ensuring there are no creases or wrinkles in the fabric.
   • First Fold Lengthwise: Fold the flag in half lengthwise, ensuring the edges are aligned and the symbols are visible.
   • Second Fold Lengthwise: Fold the flag in half again along the same direction to create a narrower, elongated shape, with the  crescent still visible on one side.
   • Begin Folding from the Red Stripe End: Start at the end and carefully fold the flag in small, even sections towards the emblem.
