New Year’s at the Bowl 2025: Event Signage for a Sold-Out Melbourne Event
New Year’s Eve at the Sidney Myer Music Bowl is always high-pressure.
With thousands of patrons arriving over a short window and multiple stages, bars, and access points to manage, clear signage is essential to keeping the site moving smoothly.
For New Year’s at the Bowl 2025, Evan Evans delivered a complete suite of event signage in partnership with Live Nation, supporting crowd flow, safety, and the overall on-site experience for a sold-out event.
Signage Designed for Crowd Flow and Clarity
The New Year’s at the Bowl visual identity was bold and highly recognisable. Our role was to extend that branding across the site while ensuring signage remained clear, legible, and functional in high-traffic conditions.
Signage was designed to:
Be readable at a distance and in low-light conditions
Support fast decision-making for patrons
Integrate seamlessly with the event’s creative direction
Scope of Event Signage Supplied
Evan Evans supplied and delivered a range of signage formats across the venue, including:
Corflute site signage for entries, exits, gates, and restricted areas
Wayfinding signage directing patrons to stages, bars, amenities, and VIP zones
Bar menu boards positioned for quick readability
VIP lounge signage and access markers
Each format was selected for durability, visibility, and efficient installation.

Delivered to Tight New Year’s Timelines
New Year’s Eve events operate on fixed, immovable deadlines.
This project was delivered under compressed production schedules, requiring fast artwork coordination and precise delivery timing. Project management was led by Dan Butler, who oversaw design rollout, print production, and delivery readiness across all signage elements.
The result was a smooth, on-time delivery with all signage in place ahead of gates opening.
Supporting a Safe and Seamless Event Experience
At events of this scale, signage plays a key operational role.
Clear wayfinding helped reduce congestion, entry and exit signage supported security teams, and bar and VIP signage assisted staff in managing peak periods throughout the night.
These elements combined to support a safe, efficient, and enjoyable experience for patrons and event staff alike.
