For lasting quality and vibrant colours of the flag, follow these care guidelines:

1. Cleaning:

   • Gentle Washing: Use a mild detergent to clean the flag, preventing fading and fabric damage. Avoid bleach or harsh chemicals.
   • Machine Wash: If machine washing is necessary, select a gentle cycle with cold water and place the flag inside a mesh laundry bag to prevent snagging.
   • Air Drying: Lay the flag flat or hang it to dry naturally. Avoid tumble drying, as high heat may shrink or weaken the fabric.

2. Storage:

   • Proper Storage: The flag should be completely dry before storing. Keep it in a cool, dry place to prevent moisture damage and discolouration.

3. Folding the ANZAC Flag:

   • Lay the flag flat on a clean surface.
   • Fold it lengthwise in half, aligning the edges carefully.
   • Fold it lengthwise again, ensuring the silhouette and design remain visible.
   • Continue folding in a rectangular shape until compact for easy storage.

4. Handling:

   • Avoid Sharp Objects: Keep the flag away from sharp edges and rough surfaces that may cause snags or tears.
   • Secure Installation: Securely fasten the flag to avoid strain or damage when displayed.
   • Minimise Exposure: Bring the flag down during extreme weather or overnight to prolong its lifespan.

5. Repairs:

   • Minor Repairs: If minor fraying or small tears appear, take the flag to a professional seamstress for reinforcement.
   • Replacement: If the flag shows extensive wear, consider replacing it to maintain a dignified and respectful display.

Flying the ANZAC Flag:

• Attach the flag securely to a flagpole or appropriate display structure.
• Ensure the flag is free to move naturally in the wind without obstruction.
• Display the flag in a respectful location where it is visible and protected from excessive wear.
• For public ceremonies or commemorative events, proper flag etiquette should be followed in accordance with ANZAC Day traditions.

By following these care instructions, your flag will maintain its vibrant colours and striking design for years to come. Proper care ensures this meaningful symbol of remembrance remains a lasting tribute.
