Materials

Our custom vinyl banners are produced using durable PVC banner materials selected to suit the intended display environment, required finishing and installation method. PVC vinyl provides a strong, flexible surface for vibrant full-colour graphics across promotional, commercial, event and outdoor applications.

• Primary Material: Durable PVC vinyl banner material
• Print: Full-colour digital printing
• Print Options: Single or double-sided printing, depending on the selected material and application
• Custom Finishing: Reinforced hems, eyelets, black ropes, wind slits, rod pockets and specialist edge treatments
• Track Finishing: Keder / Kadar corded edges and compatible sail-track systems are available for selected installations
• Alternative Outdoor Material: Mesh vinyl may be recommended where airflow and reduced wind resistance are important
• Applications: Suitable for many indoor, temporary outdoor and specialist installed banner displays

Choosing the Right Banner Material

The most suitable material depends on the banner size, display duration, installation method, viewing distance and exposure to weather. Tell our team where and how the banner will be used so we can recommend an appropriate material and finishing combination.

Single and Double-Sided Printing

Single-sided vinyl is commonly used against walls, buildings, stages and fences where the reverse will not be viewed. Double-sided banner materials are available for selected applications where printed artwork needs to be visible from both directions.

Mesh Vinyl for Exposed Locations

Mesh vinyl contains small perforations that allow some air to pass through the material. It may be recommended for selected fences, exposed sites and larger outdoor displays where a solid banner would experience greater wind loading.

Mesh does not make an installation windproof. The supporting fence, frame, wall, fixings and surrounding conditions must still be assessed for the proposed installation. Explore our custom fence wrap options for larger perimeter applications.

Finishing Options

Finishing is selected according to the intended installation rather than being limited to one standard configuration. Available options may include:

• Clean-cut or reinforced hemmed edges
• Metal eyelets positioned at suitable intervals
• Black ropes for appropriate tied installations
• Top, bottom or custom-sized rod pockets
• Keder / Kadar corded edging
• Compatible aluminium sail-track systems
• Wind slits for selected applications
• Specialist finishing for larger or demanding installations

Artwork and Colour

Colour appearance can vary between illuminated screens and printed materials. Supply print-ready files using our artwork specifications, or speak with our team if you need assistance preparing artwork for production.

Outdoor Use

Vinyl banners can be suitable for outdoor display, but material and finishing requirements depend on the location and expected conditions. For large banners, elevated installations, exposed sites or longer-term outdoor use, contact our team for tailored material and installation advice before production.

Care Instructions

Correct handling, installation and storage will help preserve the appearance and service life of your custom vinyl banner. The appropriate care requirements may vary depending on the material, finishing method, installation and display environment.

Cleaning Your Vinyl Banner

• Remove loose surface dust using a clean, soft cloth.
• Clean gently with cold or lukewarm water and a small amount of mild detergent.
• Use a soft cloth or non-abrasive sponge.
• Rinse away any detergent residue and allow the banner to dry completely before rolling or storing it.
• Avoid solvents, abrasive cleaners, bleach, harsh chemicals, stiff brushes and high-pressure hoses.

Storage Instructions

When not in use, ensure the banner is clean and completely dry. Roll it loosely around a suitable core rather than folding it, as folds can create permanent creases or damage the printed surface.

Store the rolled banner horizontally in a clean, cool and dry location away from direct sunlight, moisture, excessive heat and sharp objects. Do not place heavy items on top of the rolled banner.

Installation Care

Install the banner evenly using fixings appropriate for its finishing method and location. Avoid placing excessive tension on one corner or a small number of fixing points.

• Eyelets: Distribute the load across multiple eyelets using suitable ropes, ties or fixings.
• Black ropes: Check knots and attachment points regularly and replace damaged or frayed rope.
• Rod pockets: Confirm that rods and poles are smooth, correctly sized and free from sharp edges.
• Keder and sail track: Keep the aluminium channel clean and free from dirt before sliding the banner into position.
• Wall installations: Periodically inspect the track, fixings, banner edges and surrounding structure.

Outdoor Display Advice

Outdoor banners should be inspected regularly for loose fixings, stretched eyelets, damaged hems, worn ropes or movement within the supporting structure.

Remove temporary banners during severe weather or high-wind conditions where practical. Windind conditions where practical. Wind slits and mesh materials may help reduce wind resistance in selected applications, but they do not make a banner windproof or remove the need for an appropriate installation.

Large, elevated, exposed or long-term installations may require specialist materials, engineering considerations or professional installation. If you are unsure, contact Evan Evans for project-specific advice before production or installation.

Production Time

This product is generally produced within 5-7 business days. This timeframe begins once your order is ready for production, meaning payment has been received and any required artwork or product specifications have been confirmed. Production times may vary depending on the quantity, stock availability and current production schedule.

Please note: production time does not include courier transit time. Please allow additional time for delivery, particularly for regional or remote locations.

Australia-Wide Shipping & Freight

Evan Evans delivers Australia-wide, including metropolitan, regional and remote locations. Shipping is calculated at checkout where available and may vary depending on the delivery location, product size, order weight and courier requirements.

Some larger, bulky, oversized or custom products may require a manual freight quote, especially for regional, remote or multi-carton deliveries. If freight needs to be confirmed, our team will contact you before production or dispatch.

Courier Options

We ship Australia-wide using our trusted courier partners and have access to multiple courier accounts. If you would like to discuss a different courier option, use your own courier account, or organise your own freight collection, please contact us before placing your order.

For quote-based products, please use the quote form and include any delivery requirements so our team can review the best freight option for your order.

Pickup

Pickup may be available from our Coburg North facility by prior arrangement only. Please call us first to confirm your order is complete and ready for collection.
