Product Care for Your Brunei Flag

To maintain the appearance and longevity of your fully sewn Brunei flag, follow these care guidelines:

1. Cleaning
   • Gentle Washing: Use a mild detergent to preserve colour and fabric integrity. Avoid bleach or harsh chemicals.
   • Machine Wash: If required, place the flag in a mesh laundry bag and use a cold, gentle cycle.
   • Drying: Air dry only by laying flat or hanging. Avoid tumble drying to prevent heat damage.
2. Storage
   • Ensure the flag is completely dry before storing to prevent mould or mildew.
   • Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
3. Folding
   • Lay the flag flat with the emblem facing up.
   • Fold lengthwise twice, keeping edges aligned.
   • Fold into sections and finish with a compact fold for neat storage.
4. Handling & Use
   • Avoid sharp surfaces or rough handling to prevent tears or snags.
   • Ensure secure installation so the flag can move freely.
   • Remove the flag during extreme weather or prolonged exposure to harsh conditions.
5. Repairs & Replacement
   • For minor wear, consider professional repair by a seamstress.
   • Replace the flag when it becomes too worn for respectful display.

Flying & Display Tips

• Secure Attachment: Fasten the flag properly to prevent tangling or wrapping around the pole.
• Correct Display: Ensure the emblem is visible and oriented correctly.
• Night Display: If flown at night, ensure proper lighting.
• Weather Protection: Take down during severe weather and inspect regularly for wear.
• Half-Mast: Raise to full height first before lowering to half-mast when required.

Proper care helps preserve the flag’s appearance and ensures it remains a proud and respectful display for years to come.
