1. Cleaning:
   • Gentle Washing: Use a mild detergent to clean the flag, as this helps preserve its colours and fabric. Avoid bleach and harsh chemicals.
   • Machine Washing: If machine washing is necessary, place the flag inside a mesh laundry bag and use a gentle cycle with cold water to prevent damage.
   • Drying: Air dry the flag by laying it flat or hanging it up. Do not tumble dry, as high temperatures can cause the material to shrink or become damaged.
2. Storage:
   • Proper Storage: Ensure the flag is completely dry before storing to avoid mould or mildew. Keep it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
3. Folding the Cameroon Flag:
   • Prepare the Flag: Place the flag on a clean, flat surface with the front side facing down.
   • First Fold: Fold the flag lengthwise, aligning the green stripe with the yellow stripe and ensuring the edges are even.
   • Second Fold: Fold the flag lengthwise again, making sure the edges remain aligned.
   • Fold from the End: Starting from the end near the flagpole, fold the flag into a narrow strip, keeping the folds even and smooth.
   • Form a Triangle: Continue folding the strip into a triangular shape, beginning at the flagpole end, until you reach the opposite end.
   • Secure the Fold: Tuck the final end of the flag into the folds to create a compact, triangular bundle that stays secure.

  • Position the flag with the green stripe on the left and the yellow stripe on the right to correctly display the national colours.
  • Ensure the flag is prominently visible and unobstructed, and is flown respectfully at the highest point of the flagpole.
• Flying the Flag at Half-Mast:
  • To fly the flag at half-mast, first raise it to the top of the pole, then lower it to the halfway point.
