Product Care Instructions

To help maintain the appearance and longevity of your Fully Sewn Greece Flag, follow these recommended care guidelines.

1. Cleaning
   • Gentle Washing: Hand wash using mild detergent to help preserve the fabric and colours. Avoid bleach or harsh cleaning products.
   • Machine Washing: If machine washing is required, place the flag inside a mesh laundry bag and use a gentle cold-water cycle.
   • Drying: Air dry flat or hang to dry. Avoid tumble drying or exposing the flag to excessive heat.
2. Storage
   • Store Correctly: Ensure the flag is fully dry before storage. Keep in a cool, dry location away from prolonged direct sunlight.
3. Folding the Greece Flag
   • Preparation: Lay the flag flat on a clean surface and ensure it is dry and free from debris.
   • Initial Fold: Fold the flag lengthwise, aligning the edges evenly.
   • Second Fold: Fold lengthwise again to form a narrow strip.
   • Create Triangles: Starting from the hoist end, fold diagonally into triangular sections.
   • Continue Folding: Continue folding the triangle over itself until the end is reached.
   • Final Tuck: Tuck the remaining fabric neatly into the final fold to secure the flag.
4. Handling & Display
   • Avoid Sharp Surfaces: Keep away from rough or sharp objects that may snag the fabric.
   • Secure Installation: Ensure the flag is correctly attached and able to move freely when displayed.
   • Limit Harsh Weather Exposure: For longer product life, remove the flag during severe weather conditions.
5. Repairs & Replacement
   • Minor Repairs: Small areas of wear or fraying should be professionally repaired where possible.
   • Replacement: Replace heavily worn flags to maintain a professional and respectful presentation.

Flying the Greece Flag

• Raising the Flag
  • Ensure the surrounding area is clear before raising the flag.
  • Header with Loops: Secure the reinforced loops to the halyard or clips before hoisting.
  • Vertical Sleeve: Slide the sleeve neatly onto the flagpole for a clean display finish.
• Displaying the Flag
  • Display the flag prominently for events, ceremonies, schools, organisations, or public spaces.
  • Ensure the cross remains positioned in the upper left corner when displayed.
  • When flown alongside other national flags, display at equal height where appropriate.
• Half-Mast Display
  • Raise the flag fully before lowering it to the half-mast position.
  • Secure the flag properly to prevent movement during display.
• Sunrise & Sunset Etiquette
  • Traditionally, flags are raised at sunrise and lowered at sunset.
  • If displayed overnight, suitable illumination is recommended.
• Weather Considerations
  • Avoid flying the flag during extreme weather conditions where possible.
  • Take down and store the flag during storms or strong winds to reduce wear.
• Retiring the Flag
  • Retire worn or damaged flags respectfully in accordance with local customs or ceremonial practices.

With proper care and handling, your Fully Sewn Greece Flag will continue to provide a premium and professional display for years to come.
