To ensure the longevity and vibrant appearance of your Poland flag, follow these care instructions:

1. Cleaning:
   • Wash Gently: Use a mild detergent to clean the flag and help preserve its colour and fabric. Avoid bleach or harsh chemicals.
   • Machine Wash: If you must machine wash, place the flag in a mesh laundry bag and select a gentle cycle with cold water to avoid damage.
   • Drying: Lay the flag flat or hang it to air dry. Do not tumble dry, as high heat can cause shrinkage or damage the material.
2. Storage:
   • Proper Storage: Ensure the flag is completely dry before storing it to avoid mould or mildew. Store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to maintain its quality.
3. Folding the Poland Flag:
   • Lay Flat: Start by placing the flag on a clean, flat surface with the white stripe on top and the red stripe at the bottom. Smooth out any wrinkles.
   • First Fold: Fold the flag lengthwise, bringing the bottom red stripe up to meet the top white stripe.
   • Align the Edges: Ensure the edges are aligned evenly for a neat fold.
   • Second Fold: Fold the flag lengthwise once more, keeping the white stripe visible on top and the red stripe underneath.
   • Neat Folding: Begin folding from the side with the loops or sleeve, making small, rectangular folds towards the fly end.
   • Final Fold: Once fully folded, make sure the flag is compact, with all edges neatly tucked in to prevent it from unfolding.
   • Storage Protection: Store the folded flag in a protective cover or clean container to shield it from dust, dirt, or damage.
4. Handling:

Flying the Poland Flag:

• Raising the Flag:
  • Secure the flag to the halyard using the loops or sleeve to ensure it remains in place during hoisting.
  • Hoist the flag swiftly to the top of the pole, ensuring the white stripe is positioned at the top and the red stripe is at the bottom.
  • Take care to prevent the flag from touching the ground during the raising process.
• Displaying the Flag:
  • When displayed alongside other flags, the Poland flag should be positioned to the left of the viewer or on the highest pole if flown with multiple flags.
  • For indoor displays, place the flag to the right of a podium or stage, with the white stripe on top and the red stripe on the bottom.

• Weather Conditions:
  • Remove the flag during severe weather, such as heavy rain, strong winds, or storms, to prevent potential damage.
  • If the flag becomes wet, allow it to dry completely before storing to avoid mildew or deterioration.
• Retirement of the Flag:
  • When the flag is no longer suitable for display, retire it respectfully by burning it in a dignified manner.
  • If burning is not feasible, consider recycling the flag through a professional service or flag disposal program.
