1. Cleaning:
   • Gentle Washing: Use a mild detergent to clean the flag, ensuring the colours and fabric remain in top condition. Avoid bleach and other harsh chemicals.
   • Machine Washing: If necessary, place the flag inside a mesh laundry bag and use a cold, gentle cycle to prevent wear and tear.
   • Drying: Lay the flag flat or hang it to air dry. Avoid tumble drying, as excessive heat can cause fabric shrinkage or damage.
2. Storage:
   • Proper Storage: Before storing, completely dry the flag to prevent mildew or mould. Keep it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
3. Folding the Sri Lanka Flag:
   • Lay the Flag Flat: Spread the flag on a clean, even surface with the lion emblem facing upward to maintain proper alignment.
