1. Cleaning:
   • Wash Gently: Use a mild detergent to minimise fading and avoid bleach or similar products.
   • Machine Wash: If machine washing is required, select a gentle cycle with cold water and place the flag in a mesh laundry bag to prevent snagging.
   • Drying: Air dry the flag by laying it flat or hanging it up. Do not use a tumble dryer, as high heat can cause shrinkage and damage the fabric.
2. Storage:
   • Proper Storage: Ensure the flag is completely dry before storing. Keep it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
3. Folding the Algeria Flag:
   • Position the Algeria flag horizontally on a clean surface, with the green section on your right.
   • Fold the flag in half lengthwise, aligning the green and white sections evenly.
   •  Fold the flag in half lengthwise a second time, keeping the green on top and ensuring the star and crescent remain visible.
   • Starting from the fly end (opposite the flagpole), fold one corner of the flag upwards towards the open edge, forming a triangle.
   • Continue making triangular folds from the fly end towards the hoist end (flagpole side), keeping the edges aligned.
   • Once you reach the hoist end, tuck in any remaining fabric to secure it, ensuring the star and crescent are properly displayed.
   • The folded flag should be neatly arranged into a compact triangle, with no loose ends. The green and white sections should be evenly aligned, reflecting the care and respect due to the national symbol.
4. Handling:
   • Avoid Sharp Objects: Keep the flag away from sharp objects and rough surfaces to prevent snags, tears, or abrasions.
   • Secure Installation: Ensure the flag is properly hoisted and free from obstructions.
   • Flag Exposure: Minimise exposure to the elements by taking down the flag during adverse weather conditions or at night.
5. Repairs:
   • Minor Repairs: For small tears or fraying, replace the flag with a spare and take the damaged one to a seamstress for professional repair.
   • Replacement: As the flag nears the end of its life cycle, consider ordering a new one to ensure a fresh, vibrant flag for future use.
