1. Cleaning:

   • Machine Wash: If machine washing is necessary, select a gentle cycle with cold water. Use a mesh laundry bag to protect the flag from snagging.
   • Air Drying: Lay the flag flat or hang it to air dry. Refrain from tumble drying, as high heat can shrink or harm the fabric.
2. Storage:
   • Proper Storage: Ensure the flag is completely dry before storing it. Keep it in a cool, dry place to prevent moisture damage.
3. Folding the Cuba Flag:
   • Prepare the Surface: Begin by placing the flag flat on a clean, smooth surface to avoid dirt or damage.
   • Fold in Half Lengthwise: Take the bottom edge of the flag and fold it up to meet the top edge, aligning the edges carefully to create a long rectangle. Ensure the blue stripes are on the outside.
   • Fold Again: Fold the flag in half lengthwise once more, making sure the blue stripes remain visible and aligned.
   • Create Triangles: Starting from the open end, take the bottom corner of the flag and fold it diagonally toward the top edge, creating a triangle. Press down gently to create a crease.
   • Continue Folding: Fold the flag over itself again to form a triangle, repeating the process until the entire flag is neatly folded into a triangular shape.
   • Final Adjustments: Tuck any loose fabric into the folds to ensure a compact and tidy presentation. The final folded flag should have a neat triangular shape, showcasing the colours and symbols prominently.

  • Sunset: Lower the flag at sunset, taking care to fold it neatly before storing. If illuminated at night, it can remain raised.
• Weather Conditions:
  • High Winds: In windy conditions, consider lowering the flag to prevent damage or tearing.
  • Rain and Storm: If inclement weather is expected, it is advisable to bring the flag down to avoid moisture damage. Ensure the flag is fully dry before storing it.
• Retirement of the Flag:
