1. Cleaning:
   • Gentle Hand Washing: Always clean the flag using a mild detergent to prevent fading. Steer clear of bleach or strong chemicals that can damage the colours.
   • Machine Washing: If machine washing is necessary, select a gentle cycle with cold water. Place the flag in a mesh laundry bag to avoid snagging.
   • Air Drying: Lay the flag flat or hang it to air dry. Avoid using a tumble dryer, as high heat can shrink or damage the fabric.
2. Storage:
   • Correct Storage: Make sure the flag is completely dry before storing. Store in a cool, dry place to protect it from moisture damage.
3. Folding the Denmark Flag:
   • Start by laying the flag flat on a clean surface, ensuring the red and white cross is fully visible without creases.
   • Fold the flag lengthwise in half, bringing the lower edge to meet the upper edge, with the white cross now running along the folded edge.
   • Fold it again lengthwise, carefully aligning the edges so the cross remains straight and central on both sides of the flag.
   • Next, fold the flag into thirds by bringing one side towards the middle, and then fold the other side over it to create a compact, rectangular shape.
   • Ensure the folds are smooth and even, with the cross displayed clearly on the folded surface for easy recognition when stored.
4. Handling:
   • Protect from Sharp Objects: Keep the flag away from sharp items or rough surfaces that could snag or tear the fabric.
   • Secure Mounting: When displaying the flag, ensure it is firmly fastened to prevent unnecessary stress on the fabric.
   • Limit Exposure: Bring the flag indoors during harsh weather or overnight to prolong its lifespan.
5. Repairs:
   • Minor Fixes: For small rips or fraying, replace the flag temporarily and have it repaired by a professional seamstress.

Flying the Denmark Flag:

• Raising the Flag:
  • Ensure the flag is attached securely using either the loops or vertical sleeve option. If using loops, fasten the clips securely to the flagpole’s halyard. For the vertical sleeve, slide the flag smoothly onto the pole, making sure it sits snugly without wrinkling.
  • Raise the flag briskly and with respect. The flag should ascend smoothly without dragging or twisting, symbolising the pride and honour of Denmark.
• Displaying the Flag:
  • The Denmark flag, known as the Dannebrog, should be displayed prominently and treated with respect. Ensure the flag flies freely and does not touch the ground, buildings, or any objects below it.
  • The white Scandinavian cross on the Denmark flag should always be positioned correctly. The shorter arm of the cross should be at the top, and the longer arm should extend to the right
  • It should always be the highest flag if flown alongside other flags, or it must be given a position of prominence according to flag protocols.
• Flying the Flag Half-Mast:
  • When flying the Denmark flag at half-mast, first raise it to the top of the pole briefly before lowering it to half-mast (half the height of the pole).
  • When lowering the flag, raise it back to the top of the pole before taking it down. This shows respect and solemnity during times of mourning or commemoration.
• Flag Etiquette During Sunrise and Sunset:
  • The Denmark flag should be raised at sunrise and taken down at sunset. Always raise it briskly in the morning and lower it slowly with care in the evening.
  • When the flag is flown at night, it should be properly illuminated, otherwise, it is customary to take it down before dark.
• Weather Conditions:
