Care Instructions for Your Egypt Flag

1. Cleaning
   • Gentle Washing: Use a mild detergent to help preserve the flag's colours. Avoid bleach and harsh chemicals.
   • Machine Washing: If machine washing is required, use a gentle cycle with cold water and place the flag in a mesh laundry bag.
   • Air Drying: Lay the flag flat or hang it to air dry. Avoid tumble drying, as excessive heat may damage the fabric.
2. Storage
   • Store Dry: Ensure the flag is completely dry before storing it in a cool, dry location away from moisture.
3. Folding the Flag
   • Place the flag on a clean, flat surface.
   • Lay the flag flat and remove any wrinkles.
   • Fold the flag in half lengthwise, aligning the edges.
   • Fold lengthwise again to create a long strip.
   • Starting from the hoist side, create neat triangular folds along the length of the flag.
   • Continue folding until the flag is fully compacted.
   • Tuck the remaining end into the folds to secure it.
   • Adjust as needed for neat storage.
4. Handling
   • Avoid Sharp Objects: Keep the flag away from rough surfaces and sharp edges.
   • Secure Installation: Ensure the flag is properly attached to minimise unnecessary strain on the fabric.
   • Weather Protection: Remove the flag during severe weather conditions or when not in use for extended periods.

Flying the Egypt Flag

• Raising the Flag
  • Inspect the flag before use to ensure it is clean and undamaged.
  • Attach Header with Loops finishes securely using appropriate clips or hooks.
  • For Vertical Sleeve finishes, slide the flag onto the pole and ensure it is properly positioned.
  • Raise the flag carefully and allow it to hang freely without twists or tangles.
• Displaying the Flag
  • Display the flag in a prominent and respectful location.
  • Ensure adequate clearance from the ground to help prevent unnecessary wear.
  • When displayed with other flags, position it appropriately according to local flag display protocols.
• Flying at Half-Mast
  • Raise the flag to the peak before lowering it to the half-mast position.
  • When lowering, briefly return the flag to the peak before bringing it down.
• Weather Conditions
  • Avoid displaying the flag during severe weather, including strong winds, storms, or heavy rain.
  • Remove and store the flag safely if extreme weather is expected.
• Flag Retirement
