Kenya Flag Care Guidelines

To help maintain the colours and condition of your Kenya flag, follow these care and handling guidelines.

1. Cleaning
   • Gentle washing: Use a mild detergent to help minimise fading. Avoid bleach and harsh chemicals.

Flying the Kenya Flag

• Header with Loops: Attach the loops securely to the pole or rope using the sister clips.
• Vertical Sleeve: Slide the sleeve over the display pole until the flag sits neatly and securely.
• Raise the flag carefully and ensure it does not touch the ground.
• Display the Kenya flag with the black stripe at the top when flown horizontally.
• Avoid flying the flag during severe weather, including heavy rain, strong winds or storms.
• When the flag becomes worn or damaged beyond repair, retire it respectfully.
