- Air Drying: Lay the flag flat or hang it to air dry. Avoid using a tumble dryer, as high heat may shrink or damage the fabric.
- Storage:
- Proper Storage: Ensure the flag is completely dry before storing it. Keep it in a cool, dry and secure location to help prevent moisture damage.
- Folding the Norway Flag:
- Lay the flag flat on a clean, smooth surface with the cross design clearly visible.
- Fold the flag lengthwise in thirds, aligning the edges so the blue cross remains centred and the white outline is even on both sides.
- Bring the right edge over to meet the left edge, forming a long, narrow strip with the cross positioned in the centre.
- Fold the flag in half lengthwise again, ensuring the top and bottom edges align.
- Begin folding the flag into a triangular shape from one end, bringing the bottom edge upwards at an angle to create a point.
- Continue folding in a triangular manner until the flag forms a compact triangle or square shape.
- Keep each fold neat and aligned, with the flag design visible on the outside of the final fold.
- Store the folded flag in a protective case or safe location to help keep it ready for display.
- Handling:

Flying the Norway Flag
- Raising the Flag:

- Vertical Sleeve: Slide the pole through the sleeve until the flag is fully extended, properly aligned and hanging evenly.
- Gently pull the halyard to raise the flag, ensuring it moves smoothly and without obstruction.
- Once fully raised, securely tie off the halyard to reduce unnecessary movement and strain.
- Displaying the Flag:
- Display the Norway flag with its blue cross outlined in white clearly visible.
