135gsm Trilobal Knitted Polyester
The flag is made from 135gsm Trilobal knitted polyester. Its lightweight construction makes it a practical option for indoor and outdoor displays, events, schools, organisations and everyday flagpole use.
Choose the Right Finish
The Header with Loops finish uses reinforced loops and sister clips for attachment to a rope or compatible flagpole. The Vertical Sleeve provides a clean presentation by sliding over a pole with a diameter of up to 28mm.
Hemmed Edges
The top, bottom, left and right edges are hemmed to provide a neat finish and help reduce fraying during normal use.

Flying the São Tomé and Príncipe Flag

Raising the Flag
- Check that the flag is clean and free from damage before raising it.
- Header with Loops: Attach the reinforced loops to the flagpole using the supplied clips or a suitable rope. Make sure the flag is centred and able to hang freely.
- Vertical Sleeve: Slide the sleeve over the flagpole and align the flag so the red triangle appears on the left.
- Raise the flag carefully and make sure it is fully unfurled and clearly visible.

Displaying the Flag
- For horizontal display, position the red triangle on the left.
- For vertical display, position the red triangle at the top.
- Keep the flag clear of the ground and display it respectfully.

Flying the Flag at Half-Mast
- When flying the flag at half-mast, first raise it fully before lowering it to the halfway position.
- Before taking the flag down, raise it fully again and then lower it carefully.

Sunrise, Sunset and Overnight Display
- The flag may be raised at sunrise and lowered at sunset.
- When displayed overnight, ensure it is properly illuminated and remains visible.
