1. Cleaning:

   • Machine Wash: If machine washing is necessary, use a gentle cycle with cold water. Place the flag in a mesh laundry bag to prevent damage.
   • Air Drying: Lay the flag flat or hang it to air dry. Avoid tumble drying, as high heat may shrink or damage the fabric.
2. Storage:
   • Proper Storage: Ensure the flag is fully dry before storing it. Keep the flag in a cool, dry, and safe location to prevent moisture damage.
3. Folding the Sierra Leone Flag:
   • Begin by laying the flag flat on a clean, smooth surface.
   • Fold the flag in half lengthwise, bringing the top edge down to align with the bottom edge.
   • Fold the flag in half again, this time aligning the top edge with the bottom edge.
   • Continue folding the flag in smaller, even sections, ensuring the folds are neat and aligned, until the flag is compact and easy to store.
   • For a more uniform fold, gently smooth out any creases as you go, keeping the flag's edges straight and tidy.

   • Secure Installation: Ensure the flag is securely fastened when displayed, preventing any unnecessary strain on the fabric.

• Raising the Flag
  • Using the Header with Loops: Attach the reinforced loops to the halyard or pole, ensuring the flag is securely fastened.
  • Using the Vertical Sleeve: Slide the flag's vertical sleeve onto the flagpole, ensuring it fits snugly.
