To help maintain the flag’s appearance and vibrant colours, follow these care guidelines:

1. Cleaning
   • Gentle washing: Wash with a mild detergent to help prevent fading. Avoid bleach and harsh chemicals that may damage the fabric or colours.
   • Machine washing: If using a washing machine, select a gentle cycle with cold water. Place the flag inside a mesh laundry bag for added protection.
   • Air drying: Lay the flag flat or hang it to air dry. Do not tumble dry, as excessive heat may shrink or damage the fabric.
2. Storage
   • Proper storage: Make sure the flag is completely dry before storing it. Keep it in a cool, dry and protected location to help prevent moisture damage or mould.
3. Folding the Turks and Caicos Islands Flag
   • Lay the flag flat on a clean, smooth surface and gently remove any wrinkles.
   • Position the flag with the Union Jack in the top-left corner.
   • Fold the flag lengthwise, bringing the right side across to meet the left while keeping the Union Jack visible.
   • Fold the flag in half widthwise by bringing the bottom edge up to meet the top edge.
   • Continue folding the flag neatly into a manageable size while keeping the fabric smooth.

Flying the Turks and Caicos Islands Flag

• Raising the Flag
  • Make sure the flagpole is secure and stable before raising the flag.
  • Header with Loops: Attach the reinforced loops to the flagpole or rope and secure them using the supplied sister clips.
  • Vertical Sleeve: Slide the flagpole through the sleeve and position the flag so the Union Jack appears in the top-left corner.
  • Raise the flag smoothly while preventing it from touching the ground.
  • Once raised, make sure the flag is properly unfurled and able to fly freely.
• Displaying the Flag
  • Display the flag with the Union Jack in the top-left corner.
  • When displayed beside other flags, position it at an appropriate and consistent height.
