Flag Care & Maintenance

To maintain the vibrant appearance and extend the life of your flag, follow these simple care guidelines:

1. Cleaning
   • Gentle Wash: Use mild detergent only. Avoid bleach or harsh chemicals that may cause fading.
   • Machine Wash: If needed, wash on a gentle cold cycle using a mesh laundry bag to prevent snagging.
   • Drying: Air dry flat or hang. Do not tumble dry, as heat may damage the fabric.
2. Storage
   • Ensure the flag is completely dry before storing.
   • Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
3. Folding the Flag
   • Lay the flag flat with the red band positioned on the left.
   • Fold lengthwise, aligning long edges.
   • Fold again to form a long strip.
   • Fold into a neat triangular shape, keeping edges aligned.
   • Finish with a compact fold, ensuring the red band is visible on top.
4. Handling
   • Avoid contact with sharp objects to prevent tears or snags.
   • Ensure secure installation and prevent the flag from touching the ground.
   • Take down the flag during extreme weather or when not in use.
5. Repairs & Replacement
   • For minor damage, seek professional repair where possible.
   • Replace the flag when significant wear is visible to maintain presentation quality.

Flying & Display Guidelines

• Raising the Flag: Attach securely and raise briskly until fully unfurled.
• Correct Positioning: The white band should be on the hoist (left) side.
• Display: Ensure the flag flies freely without obstruction or touching surfaces.
• Half-Mast: Raise fully first, then lower to mid-point for commemorative occasions.
• Daily Use: Raise at sunrise and lower at sunset. Avoid overnight display unless illuminated.
• Weather: Remove during strong winds or severe weather to prevent damage.
• Retirement: Dispose of worn flags respectfully when no longer suitable for display.

This timeframe begins once your order is ready for production, meaning payment has been received and any required artwork or product specifications have been confirmed.
