1. Cleaning:
   • Wash Gently: Use a mild detergent to clean the flag, ensuring its colours and fabric remain intact. Avoid bleach and harsh chemicals.
   • Machine Wash: If machine washing is necessary, place the flag inside a mesh laundry bag and select a gentle cycle with cold water to avoid damage.
   • Drying: Lay the flag flat or hang it to air dry. Do not use a tumble dryer, as excessive heat can cause the material to shrink or get damaged.
2. Storage:
   • Proper Storage: Make sure the flag is completely dry before storing it to prevent mould or mildew. Keep it in a cool, dry location away from direct sunlight.
3. Folding the Italy Flag:
   • Preparation: Start by placing the flag face down on a clean, flat surface to avoid any dirt or debris affecting its appearance.
   • Initial Fold: Fold the flag in half lengthwise, making sure the top edge aligns precisely with the bottom edge to create a sharp crease.
   • Subsequent Fold: Fold the flag in half again lengthwise, ensuring the alignment is maintained, resulting in a long, narrow rectangle.
   • Creating Triangles: From the open end (the fly end), take the bottom corner and fold it diagonally up to meet the top edge, forming a triangle.
   • Continue Triangular Folds: For each additional triangular fold, take the bottom corner and fold it upwards, preserving the triangular shape. Repeat this until you reach the end of the flag.
   • Securing the Fold: After all fabric is folded into triangles, tuck the remaining fabric inside the last triangle to keep it secure.
4. Handling:
   • Avoid Sharp Objects: Keep the flag away from sharp items or rough surfaces to prevent snags and tears.
   • Secure Installation: Ensure the flag is securely attached and can move freely while displayed.

• Displaying the Flag:
  • The Italy Flag should be shown with the green stripe on the hoist side (the side attached to the flagpole) and the red stripe on the fly side.
