Care Instructions

Follow these care guidelines to help maintain the appearance and performance of your Knitted Polyester Italy Flag.

1. Cleaning

   • Fold it lengthwise twice to create a long rectangle.

Flying the Italy Flag

• Raising the Flag
  • Ensure the flag is clean and correctly attached before raising.
  • Header with Loops: Attach the reinforced loops to the halyard using the supplied clips.
  • Vertical Sleeve: Slide the pole through the sleeve and secure it before raising.
  • Raise the flag smoothly and ensure it hangs freely without twisting.
• Displaying the Flag
  • Display the flag with the green stripe nearest the flagpole (hoist side).
  • When displayed with other flags, position it according to local flag protocol.
  • Keep the flag fully extended and clear of the ground.
• Half-Mast Display
  • Raise the flag to the top of the pole before lowering it to the half-mast position.
  • Return it to full height before lowering it completely.
• Daily Display
  • Where possible, raise the flag at sunrise and lower it at sunset.
  • If flown overnight, ensure it is properly illuminated.
• Weather Conditions
  • Avoid displaying the flag during severe weather to help maximise its lifespan.
• Flag Retirement
  • When the flag reaches the end of its service life, dispose of or retire it respectfully in accordance with local practices.
