1. Cleaning
   • Gentle Washing: Use a mild detergent to help preserve colour and fabric quality. Avoid bleach and harsh chemicals.
   • Machine Wash: If machine washing, use a gentle cold-water cycle and place the flag inside a mesh laundry bag for added protection.
   • Air Dry: Lay the flag flat or hang it to dry naturally. Avoid tumble drying, as excessive heat may cause shrinkage or unnecessary wear.
2. Storage
   • Store Correctly: Ensure the flag is completely dry before storing. Keep it in a cool, dry location away from moisture and direct sunlight.
3. Folding the Peru Flag
   • Lay the flag flat on a clean surface with the front side facing upward.
   • Fold the flag lengthwise, aligning the red stripes evenly.
   • Smooth out any creases before folding again lengthwise.
   • Starting from the fly end (the side furthest from the pole), fold the flag into equal sections toward the hoist end.

Flying the Peru Flag

• Raising the Flag
  • For Header with Loops finishes, attach the supplied sister clips securely to the halyard. For Vertical Sleeve finishes, slide the pole carefully through the sleeve and ensure the flag hangs freely.
  • Raise the flag smoothly and securely to the top of the pole.
  • Check ropes, clips, and fittings before hoisting to ensure safe display.
  • When displayed with multiple flags, position the Peru flag according to local flag display protocols.
• Displaying the Flag
  • Display the flag with the red bands positioned on either side of the white centre panel.
  • If the flag includes the national coat of arms, ensure it faces outward and is clearly visible.
• Flying at Half-Mast
  • Raise the flag to the top of the pole before lowering it to the half-mast position.
  • Before lowering the flag completely, briefly return it to the top of the pole.
• Day and Night Display
