1. Cleaning:
   • Wash Gently: Use a mild detergent to clean the flag, preserving its colours and fabric. Avoid bleach or harsh chemicals that can cause damage.
   • Machine Wash: If machine washing is necessary, place the flag in a mesh laundry bag and select a gentle cycle with cold water to prevent wear.
   • Drying: Lay the flag flat or hang it to air dry. Do not tumble dry, as the heat can cause shrinkage or damage to the fabric.
2. Storage:
   • Proper Storage: Always ensure the flag is completely dry before storing to avoid mould or mildew. Keep it in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight to maintain its condition.
3. Folding the Portugal Flag:
   • Begin by laying the flag flat on a clean surface, ensuring it is free from dirt or debris.
   • Fold the flag lengthwise, bringing the bottom edge up to meet the top edge, ensuring a smooth, even fold.
   • Fold the flag in half again lengthwise, aligning the edges carefully.
   • Starting from the hoist side (nearest the flagpole), fold the flag into small, neat triangular sections.
   • Continue folding each triangle over the previous one, keeping the folds tight and uniform.
   • Once you reach the end of the flag, tuck the final section securely into the last fold.
