Product Care Instructions

To help maintain the appearance and longevity of your Fully Sewn Russia Flag, follow these care recommendations.

1. Cleaning
   • Gentle Wash: Clean using a mild detergent to help preserve the fabric and colours. Avoid bleach or harsh chemicals.
   • Machine Washing: If machine washing is required, place the flag inside a mesh laundry bag and use a gentle cold-water cycle.
   • Drying: Air dry by hanging or laying the flag flat. Avoid tumble drying, which may damage or shrink the material.
2. Storage
   • Ensure the flag is completely dry before storing.
   • Store in a cool, dry location away from direct sunlight to help maintain colour and fabric quality.
3. Folding the Flag
   • Lay the flag flat on a clean surface with the front facing up.
   • Fold lengthwise from the hoist side toward the fly side, aligning the edges.
   • Fold lengthwise again while keeping the colours visible.
   • Continue folding into a neat triangular shape, starting from the hoist side.
   • Maintain even folds to help preserve the fabric and presentation.
4. Handling
   • Avoid contact with sharp objects or rough surfaces that may cause snags or tears.
   • Ensure the flag is securely installed and able to move freely in the wind.
   • For maximum lifespan, remove the flag during extreme weather conditions or prolonged periods of non-use.
5. Repairs & Replacement

Flying the Russia Flag

• Raising the Flag
  • Ensure the flag is properly attached before raising.
  • Header with Loops: Secure the reinforced loops using clips or rope attachments.
  • Vertical Sleeve: Slide the sleeve over a compatible flagpole and ensure the flag hangs evenly.
  • Raise the flag carefully and allow it to fly freely.
• Displaying the Flag
  • When displayed horizontally, the white stripe should appear at the top, followed by blue and red.
  • Display the flag respectfully and ensure it does not touch the ground.
• Half-Mast Display
  • Raise the flag fully before lowering it to the half-mast position.
  • When lowering, briefly return it to the top before bringing it down completely.
• Day and Night Display
  • Traditionally, flags are raised at sunrise and lowered at sunset.
  • If displayed at night, ensure suitable illumination is provided.
• Weather Conditions
  • Avoid flying the flag during severe weather conditions where possible.
