1. Cleaning:
   • Gentle Washing: Always clean the flag with a mild detergent to reduce fading. Steer clear of bleach or harsh chemicals that could harm the colours.
   • Machine Wash: If machine washing is necessary, opt for a gentle cycle with cold water. Place the flag inside a mesh laundry bag to avoid snagging.
   • Air Drying: Lay the flag flat or hang it to air dry. Refrain from tumble drying, as high heat can shrink or damage the fabric.
2. Storage:
   • Proper Storage: Ensure the flag is completely dry before storing it. Keep the flag in a cool, dry, and secure location to prevent moisture damage.
3. Folding the Germany Flag:
   • Start Flat: Place the flag face down on a clean, flat surface with the black stripe on the top.
   • First Fold: Bring the bottom edge of the flag up to align with the top edge, creating a neat rectangle.
   • Second Fold: Fold the rectangle in half again, ensuring that the black stripe remains on the outside.
   • Third Fold: Take the right edge and fold it over to meet the left edge, forming a smaller rectangle.
   • Fourth Fold: Continue folding the flag into thirds by taking the bottom edge and folding it up towards the top, ensuring each fold is even and tidy.

• Displaying the Flag:
  • When displayed vertically, the black stripe should be on the left side when facing the flag.
  • For horizontal display, ensure the flag is hoisted so that the black stripe is on top.
  • If displaying multiple flags, position the German flag to the right of other national flags, following the protocol of precedence.
• Flying the Flag Half-Mast:
