1. Cleaning:
   • Gentle Washing: Always wash the flag using a mild detergent to preserve the colours. Avoid bleach or any harsh chemicals that may damage the fabric.
   • Machine Wash: If machine washing is necessary, select a gentle cycle with cold water. Place the flag in a mesh laundry bag to prevent any damage or snags.
   • Air Drying: Lay the flag flat or hang it to air dry. Avoid tumble drying as the high heat may cause shrinkage or fabric damage.
2. Storage:
   • Proper Storage: Ensure the flag is completely dry before storing. Store it in a cool, dry, and safe place to prevent moisture-related damage.
3. Folding the Morocco Flag:
   • Lay the flag flat on a clean, smooth surface, ensuring the design is facing upwards.
   • Fold the flag in half lengthwise, aligning the edges evenly so that the flag's sides meet. This will create a long, narrow strip.
   • Fold the flag in half again lengthwise, ensuring the fold is sharp and the edges are neatly aligned.
   • Begin folding the flag into a triangular shape by folding one corner over to the opposite side, creating a neat triangle. Continue folding the triangle until the entire flag is compacted into a triangle.
   • Once folded, ensure the flag is securely folded and the design is visible if required. Store the flag in a cool, dry location to maintain its condition.
4. Handling:
   • Avoid Sharp Objects: Keep the flag away from sharp objects or rough surfaces to prevent snags or tears.
   • Secure Installation: Ensure the flag is securely attached to prevent any unnecessary strain on the fabric.
   • Minimise Exposure: During extreme weather or overnight, take the flag down to preserve its condition.
5. Repairs:

Flying the Morocco Flag:

• Raising the Flag:
  • Ensure the flagpole is sturdy and free of any obstruction.
  • Using the Header with Loops: If your flag features a header with loops, attach the reinforced loops to the halyard and raise the flag by pulling the rope upwards. Ensure the flag is secured evenly along the pole to prevent it from swinging.
  • Using the Vertical Sleeve: For flags with a vertical sleeve, slide the sleeve onto the flagpole until the flag is properly aligned.
  • Raise the flag briskly until it reaches the top of the pole. Avoid letting the flag touch the ground during the process.
• Displaying the Flag:
  • When displayed on a flagpole, the Morocco flag should be flown with the green pentagram facing outward, visible to all.
  • Ensure the flag is flown at the top of the flagpole unless there are multiple flags, in which case the Morocco flag should be given the highest position in accordance with flag protocols.
  • If displayed on a wall or indoors, ensure the flag’s design is positioned upright with the green pentagram at the centre and facing the audience.
• Flying the Flag Half-Mast:
  • To fly the flag at half-mast, raise the flag to the top of the pole briefly, then lower it to approximately halfway between the top and the bottom.
  • Ensure that the flag remains in this position for the appropriate amount of time, following the official mourning period or local customs.
  • When bringing the flag down from half-mast, raise it back to the top briefly before lowering it fully.
• Flag Etiquette During Sunrise and Sunset:
  • The Morocco flag should be raised at sunrise and lowered at sunset. If the flag is flown at night, ensure it is illuminated properly to maintain visibility.
  • When raising the flag in the morning, it should be done promptly after sunrise, and at sunset, it should be lowered slowly and respectfully.
• Weather Conditions:
  • The Morocco flag should not be flown during severe weather conditions, such as high winds, storms, or heavy rain, to avoid damage to the fabric.
  • In extreme weather, it is best to take the flag down or secure it indoors until conditions improve.

• Retirement of the Flag:
