Qatar Flag Care Guidelines

To help maintain the quality and colours of your Qatar flag, follow these care guidelines:

1. Cleaning:
   • Gentle Washing: Wash the flag with a mild detergent. Avoid bleach or harsh chemicals that may damage the fabric.
   • Machine Washing: If machine washing is necessary, use a gentle cycle with cold water and place the flag in a mesh laundry bag to help prevent snagging.
   • Air Drying: Lay the flag flat or hang it to air dry. Avoid tumble drying and high heat.
2. Storage:
   • Proper Storage: Ensure the flag is completely dry before storing it in a cool, dry place away from moisture.
3. Folding the Qatar Flag:
   • Lay the Flag Flat: Place the flag on a clean, smooth surface and gently smooth the fabric.
   • First Fold: Fold the flag in half lengthwise, bringing the hoist side towards the fly side and aligning the edges.
   • Second Fold: Fold the flag lengthwise again, bringing the long edges together.
   • Third Fold: Fold the flag into thirds from the hoist side to create a compact rectangle.
   • Final Adjustments: Smooth any creases and ensure the flag is folded neatly for storage.
4. Handling:

Flying the Qatar Flag

• Raising the Flag:
  • Ensure the flag is securely attached to the flagpole with the hoist side positioned correctly.
  • Raise the flag briskly and avoid allowing it to touch the ground.
  • Raise the flag to the top of the pole unless it is being flown at half-mast.
• Displaying the Flag:
  • Display the Qatar flag with the white portion at the hoist side and the maroon section facing outward.
  • Display the flag fully extended and clearly visible.
  • When flying multiple flags, position the Qatar flag respectfully and in accordance with the relevant display requirements.
• Flying the Flag at Half-Mast:
  • Raise the flag to the top of the pole before lowering it to the half-mast position.
  • Half-mast display may be used during periods of mourning or remembrance.
  • Return the flag to full height after the relevant period has ended.
• Sunrise, Sunset and Overnight Display:
  • The flag may be raised at sunrise and lowered at sunset.

• Weather Conditions:
