1. Cleaning
   • Gentle washing: Wash the flag using a mild detergent to help preserve its colours and minimise fading. Avoid bleach and harsh chemicals that may damage the fabric.
   • Machine washing: If machine washing is necessary, use a gentle cycle with cold water. Place the flag inside a mesh laundry bag to help prevent snagging or damage.
   • Air drying: Lay the flag flat or hang it to air dry. Avoid tumble drying, as high heat may shrink or weaken the fabric.
2. Storage
   • Proper storage: Make sure the flag is completely dry before storing it. Keep it in a cool, dry and secure place to help prevent moisture damage.
3. Folding the Slovenia Flag
   • Lay the flag flat on a clean, smooth surface and make sure it is free from dirt and wrinkles.
   • Fold the flag lengthwise in half by bringing the hoist side over to the fly side and neatly aligning the edges.
   • Fold the flag in half lengthwise again, keeping the colours and design visible and properly aligned.
   • Begin folding the flag into a triangle by bringing the bottom corner diagonally towards the top edge.
   • Continue folding the flag into neat triangular sections until the entire flag forms a compact triangle.
   • Tuck the remaining fabric into the final fold to keep the flag secure without loose edges.
4. Handling
   • Avoid sharp objects: Keep the flag away from sharp objects and rough surfaces that may cause snags or tears.
   • Secure installation: Make sure the flag is securely fastened when displayed to reduce unnecessary strain on the fabric.
   • Minimise exposure: Take the flag down during extreme weather or overnight to help preserve its condition.
5. Repairs
   • Minor repairs: For small tears or fraying, consider having the flag assessed by a professional seamstress. Replacement may be more suitable if the damage is extensive.

• Raising the Flag
  • Make sure the flag is clean and free from damage before raising it.
  • Header with Loops: Secure the reinforced loops using sister clips and make sure the flag hangs freely without shifting or slipping.
  • Vertical Sleeve: Slide the sleeve over the flagpole and adjust the flag so it hangs evenly and is correctly aligned.
  • Raise the flag briskly, making sure the Slovenian coat of arms is positioned at the upper hoist side and faces the correct direction.
  • Display the flag in a prominent position where it can be clearly seen.
• Displaying the Flag
  • Display the Slovenia flag with the coat of arms on the hoist side and the white, blue and red stripes running horizontally.
