Follow these care instructions to help preserve the appearance and condition of your flag.

Cleaning
- Gentle washing: Use a mild detergent and avoid bleach or harsh chemicals that may cause fading.
- Machine washing: If machine washing is necessary, use cold water on a gentle cycle and place the flag inside a mesh laundry bag to help prevent snagging.
- Air drying: Lay the flag flat or hang it to air dry. Avoid tumble drying, as excessive heat may weaken or shrink the fabric.

Storage
- Allow the flag to dry completely before storing it.
- Keep it in a clean, cool and dry location away from moisture, dust and mildew.

Folding the Thailand Flag
- Lay it flat: Place the flag on a clean, flat surface with the blue stripe positioned in the centre.
- Fold lengthwise: Bring the bottom edge up to meet the top edge, keeping the stripes aligned.
- Fold again: Repeat the lengthwise fold to create a long, narrow shape.
- Fold into sections: Starting from one end, make even rectangular folds until the flag is compact.
- Store carefully: Place the folded flag in a clean, dry area away from moisture and dust.

Flying and Displaying the Thailand Flag

Raising the Flag
- Header with Loops: Attach the reinforced loops to the flagpole halyard using the supplied sister clips.
- Vertical Sleeve: Slide the flagpole carefully through the sleeve, keeping the flag smooth and aligned before securing it.
- Raise the flag briskly and lower it slowly.
- Keep the flag fully unfurled and prevent it from touching the ground.

Displaying the Flag
- Display the flag with the blue stripe in the centre, bordered by the white and red stripes.
- When hung vertically, keep the blue stripe centred from top to bottom.
- When displayed with other flags, position it respectfully and prominently.

Half-Mast Display
- Raise the flag fully before lowering it to the half-mast position.
- Before lowering it completely, raise it to the top of the flagpole first.

Sunrise, Sunset and Night Display
- Raise the flag at sunrise and lower it at sunset where this practice is being followed.
- If displayed at night, keep the flag properly illuminated.
- Lower the flag slowly and prevent it from touching the ground.

Weather Conditions
- Do not fly the flag during severe weather, heavy rain or strong winds.
- Remove it when conditions may place excessive strain on the fabric or fittings.

Retiring the Flag
- Remove a heavily faded, torn or worn flag from display.
- Handle and dispose of the flag respectfully.
