Choosing Your Finish

Cleaning
- Gentle Washing: Use a mild detergent and avoid bleach or harsh chemicals that may weaken the fabric.
- Machine Washing: If machine washing is necessary, use cold water on a gentle cycle. Place the flag in a mesh laundry bag to help prevent snagging.
- Air Drying: Lay the flag flat or hang it to dry naturally. Avoid tumble drying, as excessive heat may damage the fabric.

- Store Completely Dry: Ensure the flag is fully dry before storing it in a cool, dry place.

Folding the Togo Flag
- Lay the Flag Flat: Place the flag on a clean, dry surface with the green stripe at the top and the red square with the white star in the upper left corner.
- First Lengthwise Fold: Fold the flag in half horizontally by bringing the bottom edge up to meet the top edge. Keep the red square and white star visible.
- Second Lengthwise Fold: Fold the flag horizontally again, keeping the edges aligned and the red square visible.
- Make the Triangular Folds: Starting from the bottom-right corner, fold diagonally toward the top edge to form a triangle. Continue folding in neat triangular sections.
- Final Fold and Storage: Once folded, store the flag in a cool, dry place away from moisture and direct sunlight.

Flying and Displaying the Togo Flag

Raising the Flag
- Fully unfold and untangle the flag before hoisting.
- Attach it securely to the halyard or pole.
- Raise the flag steadily to the top of the pole.
- When displayed with other national flags, position it at an equal height.

- When hung horizontally, display the red square and white star in the upper left corner.
- Allow the flag to fly freely without obstruction.
