135gsm Trilobal Knitted Polyester
The Knitted Polyester Zambia Flag is made from 135gsm Trilobal fabric. This lightweight knitted polyester material provides a practical option for indoor and outdoor flag displays while presenting the Zambia flag's colours clearly.
Header with Loops vs. Vertical Sleeve

- Storage
- Proper Storage: Make sure the flag is completely dry before storing it. Keep it in a cool, dry place away from dampness or heat.
- Folding the Zambia Flag
- Place the flag on a flat, clean surface with the eagle emblem and tricolour stripes facing up.
- Fold the flag in half lengthwise from the top edge to the bottom edge, carefully aligning the corners so the eagle remains visible on one side.
- Smooth out creases or wrinkles as you fold.
- Fold it again lengthwise, bringing one long edge to the opposite long edge to create a narrow strip with the green field on the outside.
- Starting from the fly end with the stripes, fold the flag into equal rectangles toward the hoist end with the loops or sleeve.
- Continue folding until the flag is compact enough to store without placing unnecessary stress on the fabric or stitching.
- Store the folded flag in a dry, protective container or cloth wrap to help protect it from dust and moisture.
- Handling
- Avoid Sharp Objects: Keep the flag away from rough or sharp objects that may cause tearing or snagging.
- Secure Installation: Attach the flag carefully to your pole or mounting equipment to prevent slipping or unnecessary strain.
- Minimise Exposure: Bring the flag indoors during storms or strong winds to help prevent damage and extend its life.
- Repairs

Flying the Zambia Flag
- Raising the Flag
- For the Header with Loops finish, attach the reinforced loops to your flagpole using sister clips or similar fasteners.
- For the Vertical Sleeve option, gently slide the flag over the pole until fully extended for a neat appearance without visible fastenings.
- Raise the Zambia flag briskly to the top of the flagpole as a sign of dignity and pride.
- If other flags are being raised alongside it, the Zambia flag should be hoisted first and occupy the position of honour, typically the highest or most prominent location.
- Displaying the Flag
- Display the flag so the eagle emblem and vertical stripes appear correctly on the right side from the observer's view.
- When hung vertically against a wall or backdrop, the eagle and stripes should appear at the bottom.
- The flag should never touch the ground, floor, water or objects beneath it.
- Flying the Flag at Half-Mast
- When flying the flag at half-mast, briefly raise it to the peak of the flagpole before lowering it to the halfway point.
- This position is used as a mark of mourning or national remembrance.
- When lowering the flag for the day, first raise it to the top before bringing it down completely.
- Flag Etiquette During Sunrise and Sunset
